South Park teaches me more than school

So for english homework we had to watch the South Park episode "Margaritaville". I usually don't watch much South Park, I think I have seen it once or twice before (I am more of a family guy person). But I have to give them credit, this episode is AMAZING. It talks about the different reasons for the current economic crisis. Yeah, it does pretty much make fun of the government and Jews but underneath all the humor there was something to learn. It showed that we can't just blame the government for the fact that we have no money (not just them anyways). A lot of the blame should be on ourselves. We are way to greedy, we don't know when being too rich is enough. Not one person needs to have 45 million dollars. I'm not saying that everything needs to be leveled out and that everyone should make the same amount of money. I think that in order for a capitalist society to work you need an upper, middle, and lower class. This is so people will have something to work for and be a reason to drive someone to get a good education. But still what do you do with all of that money... NOTHING. So stop ripping people off, move your plants back to the US, and give people an actual paycheck. We also buy things with money that doesn't exist. This has to stop. I don't know if people just assume they are going to get enough money to pay people back and then something happens and they don't have the money anymore, or if people just really don't have money and spend it anyways. Whatever our excuses we have to stop making them and learn to be adults and control our spending habits. We can't just not spend like some people are saying, that will just drive us further into this huge hole we are digging. But we just need to spend more wisely and with money that we actually have!

Okay I'm not going to pretend like I am an expert in this area or anything, but that is what I think. Below I am going to post a blog for english that I was required to write, it has to deal with Obama and his handling of the current economic situation.

The middle class is finding itself closed in and stuck between a rock and President Obama. With the economy in the worst shape America has seen in a long time, the government has decided the best way to fix it is by practically stealing from the American people. The classes are ripping apart because the middle class is not rich enough to handle the amount of tax Obama wants them to pay, yet they are not going to be aided in any way by the president because they make too much money. New Yorkers are experiencing an income tax rate of near 60% while Obama is promising everyone a college education, heath care, and a decrease in the debt. Where is the money coming from? All I know is that this is ridiculous. What happened to a government that governs least is best? America was founded on principles of individuality, and self support; yet we are relying every year more and more on “the man” to provide for us and make sure we have everything that we need. Obama is not helping he is just trying to keep the American people in the palm of his hand. This is not what a government is for. The American government should be there to make sure we can pursue happiness, not guide us every step of the way. The government has tried to take care of too many things and they cannot handle it all, Obama is going to have to let go of some of his power and give it back to the people before any of this economy mess gets squared away.
