South Park teaches me more than school

So for english homework we had to watch the South Park episode "Margaritaville". I usually don't watch much South Park, I think I have seen it once or twice before (I am more of a family guy person). But I have to give them credit, this episode is AMAZING. It talks about the different reasons for the current economic crisis. Yeah, it does pretty much make fun of the government and Jews but underneath all the humor there was something to learn. It showed that we can't just blame the government for the fact that we have no money (not just them anyways). A lot of the blame should be on ourselves. We are way to greedy, we don't know when being too rich is enough. Not one person needs to have 45 million dollars. I'm not saying that everything needs to be leveled out and that everyone should make the same amount of money. I think that in order for a capitalist society to work you need an upper, middle, and lower class. This is so people will have something to work for and be a reason to drive someone to get a good education. But still what do you do with all of that money... NOTHING. So stop ripping people off, move your plants back to the US, and give people an actual paycheck. We also buy things with money that doesn't exist. This has to stop. I don't know if people just assume they are going to get enough money to pay people back and then something happens and they don't have the money anymore, or if people just really don't have money and spend it anyways. Whatever our excuses we have to stop making them and learn to be adults and control our spending habits. We can't just not spend like some people are saying, that will just drive us further into this huge hole we are digging. But we just need to spend more wisely and with money that we actually have!

Okay I'm not going to pretend like I am an expert in this area or anything, but that is what I think. Below I am going to post a blog for english that I was required to write, it has to deal with Obama and his handling of the current economic situation.

The middle class is finding itself closed in and stuck between a rock and President Obama. With the economy in the worst shape America has seen in a long time, the government has decided the best way to fix it is by practically stealing from the American people. The classes are ripping apart because the middle class is not rich enough to handle the amount of tax Obama wants them to pay, yet they are not going to be aided in any way by the president because they make too much money. New Yorkers are experiencing an income tax rate of near 60% while Obama is promising everyone a college education, heath care, and a decrease in the debt. Where is the money coming from? All I know is that this is ridiculous. What happened to a government that governs least is best? America was founded on principles of individuality, and self support; yet we are relying every year more and more on “the man” to provide for us and make sure we have everything that we need. Obama is not helping he is just trying to keep the American people in the palm of his hand. This is not what a government is for. The American government should be there to make sure we can pursue happiness, not guide us every step of the way. The government has tried to take care of too many things and they cannot handle it all, Obama is going to have to let go of some of his power and give it back to the people before any of this economy mess gets squared away.

Life is great when you get free cookies

So as this is my first blog, I will have to warn you...I am pretty awesome and you might get addicted to this blog.

Okay now that I have gotten that out of the way.....life at the University of Tennessee.

BTDUB some of this is harsh, so if you have a soft stomach go away.

Move out of the way when your friend hits a racquetball at you. They are not very fun to get hit in the face with and people might call you names like "lippy" and "Angelina" when your lips swell.

Don't go greek. Unless you feel like you need to stay in high school for the rest of your life and have around 1000 bucks a semester to burn. There are a ton of free friends at school... who (and this is the best part) like you for who you are, not what logo is on your polo...

Jason

Bring an umbrella

Don't get the unlimited meal plan. You really don't eat that much.... unless you are fat

DON'T USE THE FREAKING ELEVATOR IN YOUR RESIDENCE HALL IF YOU LIVE ON LEVELS 1-4... people will hate you for taking up their time, and you could use the exercise anyways...fatty...

Omelets are amazing

Don't wear white to the ORANGE OUTS.. you look retarded

Don't even bother getting dressed up for the football games.. Just wear orange.. everyone smells bad and sweats during them anyways.

Well now that I got that out of the way I am going to write about my day!
I get up at 7:42 and put on a sweatshirt... at 7:45 I am on the elevator, we stop at level 3 and no one is there.. I curse silently and hope that the person who pressed the button and didn't wait for the elevator trips on their way to class. 7:51 I think I see my friend Chima and yell at him telling him he is a fag... it's not Chima. Well then I go to Stats and take a quiz which I'm pretty sure I impregnated! Well then i got a coffee so i didn't fall asleep during psych and then went to chem after taking notes in psych. Oh yeah on the way to chem from psych I saw Jason... but he didn't look happy to see me :( In chem Morgan and I took sexmistry notes... and now I am in my dorm video chatting with my boyfriend who is at GaTech, doing my other homework, and talking to Jason on facebook chat.
